Q Mark is a third party accredited scheme designed to provide additional reassurance that products are fit for purpose through on-going compliance and regular auditing. The scheme helps to provide peace of mind that Heron Fire Doors are consistently producing a quality product through independent verification by a third party certification body.
BM Trada are widely regarded as the leader in third party certification and is what we continue to strive for to demonstrate that our products continue to meet fire resistance and security requirements.
ISO 9001 is the international quality management systems standard which provides assurance that processes are being consistently applied to facilitate customer satisfaction. The standard is based on seven quality management principles now aligned to Annex SL – a consistent framework for all management systems – which enables effective integration with other management systems.
Achieving ISO 9001 certification demonstrates improved management control and identification of risks and opportunities resulting in greater customer satisfaction. It will reduce costs through reduced waste, improved efficiency and productivity and ensure that staff understand their responsibilities and how their work impacts the business objectives.
ISO 14001 is the most widely regarded environmental management standard and is recognised worldwide. It addresses the management of environmental aspects and impacts and results in continual improvement of environmental performance.
Achieving ISO 14001 certification demonstrates improved management control, identification of risks and opportunities and compliance obligations resulting in greater environmental performance.
FSC Chain of Custody certification applies to manufacturers, processors and traders of FSC certified forest products. It ensures that FSC materials and products have been checked at every stage of processing, so customers purchasing products sold with FSC claims can be confident that they are genuinely FSC certified.
Heron Bros is the first organisation from any sector in Northern Ireland and first construction company throughout the entire UK to be awarded with Investors in People Platinum accreditation. This achievement demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to high performance through good people management.
Secured by Design member company status is awarded to companies producing security products that pass standards and tests nominated by the police service. The standards and related tests must demonstrate the product effectiveness in preventing or reducing crime, usually by resistance to physical attack.
