Working with United Living, Heron fire doors created a bespoke solution to match the original style of door installed during the victorian era, ensuring fire compliance without compromise on design.
Heron fire doors was tasked to produce a heritage-style product for the Millbank estate, while also meeting the required fire specification for the manufacture of bespoke recessed panel doors.
To match the original doorsets, Heron Fire Doors working with United Living consultant john clayton, designed, manufactured and conducted a primary fire test at a ukas approved laboratory to the victorian styled front entrance doorset, removing any need to rely on global assessment the company holds bm trada q-mark certification for fire and security enhancement (pas 24), demonstrating its commitment to quality and third-party ukas auditing.
Working closely with the UL team, Heron fire doors was reassured that UL understood the manufacturing challenges was well versed on its programme, and extended a realistic timescale to Heron for the delivery of such a bespoke product.
Included in the brief was a challenging glazed door, requiring Heron to and recessed panel beads complaint with the finished product.
